Ingredients (makes 1 pint)
brown sugar | 1 cup |
canola oil | 3 Tablespoons |
minced yellow onion | ½ |
liquid smoke | ¼ cup |
Kitchen Bouquet Browning | 1 Tablespoon |
Pro Seasoning All Purpose | 1 Tablespoon |
ketchup | 1 ½ cups |
Pro Seasoning Aleppo Pepper | 1 Tablespoon |
apple cider wine vinegar | ½ cup |
Worcestershire sauce | 1 Tablespoon |
Dijon mustard | 2 Tablespoons |
Method of Prep:
Preheat a medium sized saucepan over medium low heat. Add the oil and bring to medium low temperature. Add the onions and cook until translucent. Once onions are translucent, add Aleppo pepper and stir for 30 seconds. Next, add all remaining ingredients and cook on low, stirring almost constantly for 5-7 minutes. If the sauce looks too thick, add 2 Tablespoons of water until desired thickness is achieved.
