Salted Caramel Sauce

Ingredients (makes about a cup and a half of sauce)

unsalted butter

1 stick

brown sugar

8 oz

heavy cream

½ cup

Pro Seasoning English Flake Salt

1 tsp


Method of Prep:


Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and melt (be sure not to brown the butter). Add the brown sugar and mix together while heating. The mixture will look like wet sand. Cook while stirring for 3-5 minutes. When the mixture is smooth, add heavy cream and stir vigorously until caramel forms. Stir in salt. Serve warm. The mixture can be cooled down under refrigeration and gently heated in a microwave 20 seconds at a time. Make sure to stir before placing back into the microwave.


*Pro Tip: try adding banana slices or toasted nuts to the sauce!
